The Sanctuary of the New Metropolitan Baptist Church was the venue for the forum of Candidates for Mayor of Baltimore City.
The Leaders of the Bethel AME Church demolished 1234 Druid Hill Avenue aka Freedom House.
This building was the former home of Mr. Harry Sythe Cummings who was one of the first African American graduates of the University of Maryland Law School. He was also the first African American member of the Baltimore City Council.
1234 Druid Hill Avenue was also the first home of the Baltimore Branch of the NAACP.
